Meet the Synergy Team
As we recently celebrated Synergy’s fourth anniversary, we thought it would be the perfect time for you to get to know our team just that little bit better!
So, here’s what we all said when it was our turn in the hot seat…
Yasmin – Director & Co-Founder
Q: What led you to work in this field?
A: I got into recruitment completely by accident. I left university with no idea of what I wanted to do. My dad put me in touch with a recruiter and I ended up interviewing for a role at their agency. I said I’d do recruitment for a bit, to save up money to go travelling – and I never left!
Q: Biggest highlight of your time at Synergy?
A: This is going to sound cheesy but getting to spend every day with my business-partner-turned-best-friend is the absolute highlight for me. I can honestly say we belly laugh about something every day, and in the world of recruitment, it’s very important to keep laughing!
Q: What do your ideal weekend plans look like?
A: A perfect weekend for me would start with heading out for dinner and drinks with my partner and friends. From there, I would accidentally-on-purpose drag everyone to a karaoke bar. The rest of the weekend would be spent recovering outdoors with my dog Peppa – our favourite walking spot is Macclesfield Forest.
Q: What did you want to be when you were younger?
A: All I wanted to be, when I was younger, was a singer. I’m still in some way clinging to this dream with a low-key addiction to karaoke and singing in the shower. Unfortunately, I absolutely don’t have the vocal chords to back it up; so, I’ve settled for a life in recruitment, instead.
Q: Where would you like Synergy to be in the next four years?
A: We would really like to grow the team. It’s important to us to grow steadily, so we never dilute our values or break away from the reasons why we set up in the first place. I’d absolutely love Synergy to become a household name and to be the go-to recruitment agency in Cheshire!
Marie – Director & Co-Founder
Q: What do you love most about working in recruitment?
A: I love the feeling you get when you make a placement, knowing you have found your client the perfect fit for their team, and your candidate their ideal new job. The excitement and buzz you feel is fantastic (and addictive), even after 20+ years!
Q: What’s the biggest achievement so far at Synergy?
A: I’m super-proud of our 118 five-star Google reviews from candidates and clients – it’s great to receive the feedback that we are achieving everything we set out to do… changing the reputation of the recruitment industry by doing the right thing and putting people at the heart of all our decisions.
Another achievement I’m proud of is the fact we have never lost a client since setting up in 2018.
Q: How will Synergy be celebrating their fourth anniversary?
A: We are going for lunch at Victors in Alderley Edge, where a few glasses (or bottles) of Prosecco will be enjoyed, no doubt!
Q: How would your friends describe you?
A: Enthusiastic, positive, loyal, and caring.
Q: What hobbies do you have outside of work?
A: I love running, going to the gym, reading (when I get chance, having two energetic boys) and, although this isn’t a hobby, it’s something I love doing – spending time with friends and family, preferably enjoying a tasty meal and a glass of wine. Oh, and I have been known to jump out of a plane!
Chloe – Recruitment Administrator
Q: What do you love most about working in recruitment?

A: Sourcing amazing candidates who have been placed in one of our roles!
Q: What’s the biggest highlight of your time at Synergy?
A: Not a highlight, but… it’ll be my one-year anniversary in October. I’ve loved this journey and working with this amazing team.
Q: What hobbies do you have outside of work?
A: Eating out and baking.
Q: Name a fact that most people don’t know about you?
A: I am most definitely a chocolate addict!
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A: Don’t take life too seriously.
